These photos were sent in by Brian Viola. Along with his brother, Ian, they continue to run LOLA Skateboards - keeping the dream alive. The young skaters in these photos are Blayke Hale, and Eddie Triggs; next up for LOLA. Most of these photos are from various locations in Southampton, as well as Red Creek, and Manhattan. Wooleystock 2009
Wooleystock 2009 was a music festival at the Wooley Street Gallery in Atlanta. It was based around music, love, peace and free beer.
Carnivores and Living Rooms performed until 2 am, illuminated by a projector playing "Bum Fights 2" on repeat. Admission and booze were free and the crowd was treated to an evening to remember (if possible). Not even a scuffle on an empty Peters St or a few local crackheads could dampen the mood for the crowd which dispersed shortly before 3.
Stories of Sole
There's a book about your favorite shoes and the launch is tonight. Drinks, music, Tony Alva, Steve Caballero, Steve Van Doren. 7-9
Arniko Handcrafted Skateboards
The Swiss company Arniko employs talented Nepalese woodcarvers to make these slalom decks resembling '70s surfboards. With their socially responsible production, the brand improves working conditions while promoting craftsmanship.
The Berrics-Trickipedia
Skateboarders add a new educational video of a trick each week to the pages of Trickipedia on the Berrics website. Their valiant effort is to compile the most comprehensive reference of skateboarding tricks.
LOLA Skating in ATL
Ian & Ian from LOLA are posted up in Atlanta, doing their thing, skateboarding, and about to open up their first retail store. Stay tuned for more information on that. Alex is now in ATL with them, helping on setting up LOLA South. Shout out to Larry Love as well.
