Last night was the final game in the history of the Meadowlands, a stadium the New York Jets have called home since 1984.
The weather was unfathomably cold as the NFL decided to move the game from 1 pm to 8 pm, and the stadium was unfathomably dry, as the Jets decided it was not wise to sell alcohol in an environment that could have become chaotic at the drop of a hat. As if there wasn't enough emotions running through all the frozen fans, if the Jets won the game, they are in the playoffs, if they lose, they're out, and have shamed the stadium, like some not to be named team did a week before.
The new Downtown STAT cards will be a part of a fun show this week. Check it out:

Our offices are located right near Whole Foods––which is both a blessing and a curse: A blessing, as it's so damn convenient to pick up a sandwich or some coffee; A curse, as it quickly became the only spot to hit up for lunch. After a while, we got sick of it. We decided to break away from corporate organica and explore our amazing, culinary–diverse surroundings. In this new series, we explore local treasures, document our findings, and report back ASAP. We seek out the cheap hot spots––anything with bang for our buck.
