Them Thangs
Designers spend a lot of hours online. In going through images you save files on your desktop. People started sharing images they liked, which led to the rise of sites like FFFFound.com. Next came certain sites like JJJJound, which we wrote about a while back. Them Thangs is similar to JJJJound - money, cash, girls, clothes, and photos, but differentiates itself by leaning more towards sepia-toned, vintage, or rougher, scanned in images. Both sites are incredible to scrollll through, be inspired, or just absorb.
Hint Magazine
Yesterday, the Gin Lane team launched hintmag.com; the new online presence for the "All Fashion, All the Time" site. The site was designed by Anh Tuan Pham of For Office Use Only, who recently designed the new MoMA site. It was a pleasure working with him and the magazine's founder; Lee Carter. Check the site out, it is a fun, intuitive, clean site with great content constantly updated.

What is Movie Life?
Recently, I have heard a lot of "what is Movie Life" and "what is Evil Weed?" Here is your explanation:
Movie Life is the documentation of the making of Evil Weed. It is a behind the scenes look into how an independent movie gets made. The stress, joy, uncertainty, hard-work, fun, and action that goes into a feature-length film getting made with a young cast and a first time director. Movie Life will air online episodes from now through the end of November.
Desktop Dump II
This summer has been a blast. Except for the 3/4th of it I have spent on the computer. I dump about a million images onto the desktop a day, and save them in folders by day; the equivalent of stuffing mess in your closet or under the bed. Here is some of the stuff from under my bed.

If you have ever wondered what CAPTCHA was it is Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart designed by Carnegie Mellon Computer Science Professor Luis Von Ahn. This is a security program that protects websites against bots by generating and grading tests that humans can pass but current computer programs cannot.
