From the Archives: LOLA Sports Talk
A few years ago we had a show on Manhattan's public access channel MNN called LOLA Sports Talk. Created and run by Alex Young it aired every other week and featured a mix of sports interviews, skits, dogs, Owen, Howie McDuffie, Animal Thug from N.O.R.E., bad drawings, and personal jokes. It was too good to last.
Blek Le Rat
I wanted to share a small section of the movie Bomb It that was sent to me. I think this man ads a personal level to his work where others fall short. A lot of street artists make their work for shits and giggles, whereas Blek Le Rat sends a message through his medium.
The Powers of Katsu
As a tribute to the short-movie Powers of Ten
by legendary contributors Ray and Charles Eames, the Powers of Katsu
take a similar approach in aesthetics and presentations as the original movie from 1977
it showcases the works of graffiti artist Katsu. Nick Poe and Alex
Kalman of Red Bucket Films help coordinate and produce things with
Katsu as Red Bucket Films begin their first solo show at the Crisp
Gallery in London on June 24th till August 1st.

Crips and Bloods: Made In America
When the Netflix envelope containing Crips and Bloods: Made In America arrived the other day, I was pretty much expecting another 2 hour film featuring gang members flexing and spouting off and the mouth while firing automatic weapons in all directions. Instead, what I watched was a very well done, in depth look at the two most notorious gangs in the history of The United States.
