My former classmate at NYU, Michael M. Koehler, was in Louisianna recently to teach a college class on documentary photography when Hurricane Gustav hit. The following are his photographs during the storm. They will be on display at The Gallery Bar starting October 29th.

Last night was the opening of the Stepmothers… show at the 7Eleven Gallery. I got my prints at 5pm for a 7pm opening, having not seen them yet, was a very stressful day. However, that nor the looming rainstorm stopped a boisterous, cultured New York City crowd from coming out in droves for the opening. Thank you to all who came and if you couldn’t make it, the show is up till October 16th.
