On Election Night I went down to La Esquina where they had a projector showing the polls coming in. The sound got cut off so I ran inside to watch, than hit the streets with the rest of New York City to celebrate the historic night. However, I was tired and called it a night at like 1:30am, while everyone else went up to Harlem and went nuts till like 4am. Bug Max to put up those photos.
Frances will be performing before a Rooftop Films screening of Trinidad, a documentary about a small mining town in Colorado that also happens to be the sex change capital of the world.

last night was the much-attended Fingerpaint benefit, of which i had the honor of being hostess. it was crazy hot temperature-wise and crowd-wise. i always love the chance to see my LOLA folk, and this was for a great cause!

the blessed day hath finally come. yesterday marked the 18th anniversary of my birth. for those of you wondering, yes, it does sound weird to say “i was born in 1990.” i wouldn’t think so much of it except for the occassional non-believer stands in momentary shock after i recite my year of birth. i’m 18, i can actually sign off on my new apartment now without tedious legalities. i can actually purchase (or distribute) nicotine-filled cigarette sticks; i can purchase miraculous lottery tickets (scratch-offs by the dozen) that are sure to change my destiny forever with compenstation in the MILLION dollar range, i can register for tasteful erotic website without consent, i can vote for our nation’s next president ( woohoo) ; i can finally visit gentlemen’s clubs or no-cover clothing optional discoteques.
