Please Volunteer at Your Local Call Center in Support of Barack Obama

November.2.2008 @ 8:40 pm by zakwilliams | Posted in Uncategorized

Good Evening,

It’s the final stretch acomin’ and, if you have time in the next couple days, please drop by your local call center with cell-phone and charger in hand to make an impact on those oh-so-crucial swingstates.

If the prospect of cold-calling individuals is daunting, please know that you will be contacting people who you will almost certainly never meet while working towards the success of an incalculably good cause.  I will be stumping in a joint effort with many, many others across the country at The Living Room on Ludlow tomorrow afternoon beginning at 3PM. Please join me if you have time (just don’t forget to RSVP!).

Please, please, please RSVP at:

Regards,
Z

Black Warren Buffett to Host First Book Release Party

September.4.2008 @ 3:04 pm by zakwilliams | Posted in Uncategorized

Local Downtown kid and fellow Bay Arean, Heron Preston Johnson, will be hosting his first book release party tomorrow for THE YOUNG AND THE BANGING, a downtown NYC ‘08 yearbook featuring the creme-de-la-creme of Manhattan’s creative youth. Needless to say, I am not in it.

I am in, however, the Town Schools for Boys ‘96 yearbook in which Heron and I are featured together in our 7B class photo [photo not on file].

R. Kelly Acquitted, Out of Shit Closet with Beretta in Hand

June.13.2008 @ 5:20 pm by zakwilliams | Posted in Uncategorized

 R. Kelly was acquitted on all 14 acts of the lewd and lascivious acts he has been accused of committing on a 14-year old… finally! After six years of languishing behind-stages, eating lobster, and not being able to film himself screwing any chick with pigtails and a Sailor Moon backpack, you can let your hair down a little. All cuz of a mole…

Time to celebrate with a little manishevitz on the batmitzvah circuit!    R. Kelly, you so crazy.

Michelle gives Obama a Deserved Pound

June.3.2008 @ 10:50 pm by zakwilliams | Posted in Uncategorized

At 09:09:27 Central Time, Michelle Obama gave Barack Obama a pound in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Michelle Obama gives Barack Obama

“We must be as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in, but leave we must… It’s time to rebuild our military and give our veteran’s the care they deserve when they get home.”

“Politics and Nuclear Weapons, genocide and disease, that’s what change is.”

“College education should not be a privilege for the few, but a birthright for every American.”

“But what you [the American people] deserve, is another election that is not governed by fear, and innuendo, and litigation.”

“Every so often there are moments that call on that fundamental goodness to make this country great again, so it was, for that band of patriots who declared in a Philadelphia hall the formation of a more perfect Union, and for all those who gave on the fields of Gettysburg and Antietam their last full measure of devotion to save that same Union. So it was for that greatest generation that conquered fear itself and liberated a continent itself from untold tyrrany and made this country home to untold opportunity and prosperity. So it was for the workers who stood out on the picket lines, the women who shattered glass ceilings, the children who braved a Selma bridge for freedom’s cause. So it has been for every generation that faced down the greatest challenges and the most improbable odds to leave their children a world that is better, and kinder, and more just.”

“If we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations for now we will be able look back and tell our children that this is the moment where we began to provide for the sick, and good jobs for the jobless, this was the moment, when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal, this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth, this was the moment, this was the time, when we came to together to remake this great nation, so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals!”

Damn
