Last night was incredible beyond all accounts, with over $150,000 raised for the NBDC, the largest crowd the Bowery Hotel has ever seen for an event, it was a smashing success. The artwork was great, the crowd was great, the night are great.
Limited Edition Invitations for Art Rocks were produced in two runs specially designed by Gin Lane for LOLA.

I shot a photograph of my good friend Doug Grayson recently DJing at 1Oak for a feature article on New York Nightlife for last month’s Japanese Vogue. It is a small image, but I got a nice photo credit that is very interestingly worded:

On Election Night I went down to La Esquina where they had a projector showing the polls coming in. The sound got cut off so I ran inside to watch, than hit the streets with the rest of New York City to celebrate the historic night. However, I was tired and called it a night at like 1:30am, while everyone else went up to Harlem and went nuts till like 4am. Bug Max to put up those photos.

This year, Halloween fell on the weekend. Matt Kliegman and his partner Carlos threw one of better Halloween events I have been at, at an undisclosed gutted space in Chinatown accessible only through a narrow alley. Once inside, guests were greeted to an endless supply of Tequila, beer, the best tacos I have possibly ever had, multiple great DJs, Lissie Trulie, The Virgins, and extravagant Mexican themed decor, and a whos who of hundreds of decked out revelers. It was a truly spectacular time. I cut a bedsheet up and went as a ghost, it was hard to even see but I got some great photos. Here are some, with the full gallery here.
