After a long winter of traveling and surfing the world, I am once again here in Bridgehampton to bring excitement to the local Hamptons’ art scene.
Having really started building a name for myself as a young group show curator and drunk, this time I have a big treat for you all in the solo work of Felix Bonilla Gerena, a well-established Puerto Rican painter, whose work I noticed while on a surf trip last winter in Aguadilla, P. R.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1968, Bonilla has always had a niche for painting. His passion comes through on his canvases with his wonderful sense of color and form. His paintings combine striking colors with a sincerity and authenticity that speaks from the heart. To view Bonilla’s paintings is a vivid experience in color, depth, form and light.
After speaking with the owner of the restaurant, I was informed about the creator of these masterpieces, and was shortly thereafter, introduced to Felix himself.
As curator, I am now tightening things up, producing my first one-man show entitled “A Solo Exhibition” translating to, “Una Exposición en Solitario.”
The show will open with an explosive reception on Saturday, July 12th, from 5 to 8 pm at Collette’s Antique Barn, 2546 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, NY, 11932, directly behind the old Bull’s Head Inn. Music will be held down by Sag Harbors own Max Barbaria so you know its gunna be a banger.
The show will be up till August 2nd, for those who miss the opening or just want a chance to stop by and take another look at Bonilla’s beautiful works on canvas.

Hope to see you all there.
