What if there was a pill that really did make it all better? Adam Smith (Resident Director for Tom's company The Modern Stage) stars as Matthew, a painter whose career and love life surge into overdrive under the influence of a powerful new painkiller. Only after Matthew also gets his girlfriend, art dealer and drug dealer involved with this purportedly non-addictive wonder pill do its more disturbing side effects emerge. But Miracle Day isn't really about drugs; it's about love, friendship, art, sex, souls relieved of all inhibition, and what happens when you achieve the life you've always wanted, then find out you can't live it anymore. The cast also features Kristina Olson, Damian Maffei and Marcella Goheen. Stage directions will be read by Jonathan Reed Wexler
Live pre-show and ambient music will be performed by Vern Woodhead and Yana Davydova of the band The Epicures
